10F Contributors

10F Consortium contributors are experienced practitioners volunteering their individual expertise independent of their institutional affiliations. This independence allows for candid assessment of global transformations unconstrained by organizational positions.

  • Bernise Ang

    Bernise is Chief Alchemist at Zeroth Labs, leading research in applied complexity science. She led UNDP Asia Pacific’s first systems thinking initiative, advising the Bhutanese government on youth unemployment. Her academic work includes co-developing programmes on systems thinking and complexity science for NUS Medicine, NUS College, and NUS Residential College 4, where she is a Fellow. Her research interests include the application of network science to stability and urban dynamics. Bernise has spoken on urban innovation and complex systems at Harvard Business School, SXSW, and the World Economic Forum, where she is a Young Global Leader.

  • Madeline Ashby

    Madeline Ashby is a consulting futurist and science fiction writer based in Toronto. She is author of the Machine Dynasty series, Company Town, and Glass Houses, and contributor to How to Future (2020). She has developed science fiction prototypes for Changeist, the Institute for the Future, the Smithsonian Institution, WHO, the World Bank, and the Atlantic Council, among others. She is a member of the AI Policy Futures Group at ASU's Center for Science and the Imagination and the XPRIZE Sci-Fi Advisory Council. Her work has appeared in MIT Technology Review, WIRED, The Atlantic, and Slate.

  • Karen K Burns

    Karen is the Founder and CEO of Fyma, a patented computer vision company applying AI to optimise the built environment. She studied Media at UCL, holds a diploma in Law, and has completed an executive programme in Real Estate at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. Originally from Estonia, she lectures on the history of information technology at the University of Tartu and speaks internationally on AI, technology adoption, and women in STEM. Karen has served as a trustee of Enterprise Estonia, is a ULI Europe Technology & Real Estate Council Member, and sits on the UK PropTech Association steering committee.

  • Cheryl Chung

    Cheryl is the Founder and CEO of Tent Futures, a strategic foresight research, advisory and training practice focused on building long-term public good. Cheryl is concurrently the Senior Director, Insights and Strategy, at The Majurity Trust, a philanthropic organisation that works with donors and social impact partners to build a thriving and sustainable community for all in Singapore. A seasoned public sector futurist, Cheryl has two decades of experience working with senior decision makers in Singapore and the region to identify trends, understand policy implications, create alternative scenarios and develop strategies to prepare for the future. She is an experienced and sought-after practitioner, educator, coach and speaker across the public, private, people and academic sectors.

  • Susan Cox-Smith

    Susan is a Project Lead for the 10F Consortium. She is co-founder and partner of Changeist with multidisciplinary expertise spanning design, research, and strategic foresight. She has trained and advised leading brands, government agencies, foundations and NGOs, including Nesta, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the International Women’s Development Agency. She also consults on design of exhibitions and large-scale public engagements on critical future themes. She co-authored "Future Cultures (2023) and served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of South Australia.

  • JD D'Cruz

    JD is an experienced sustainability strategist with over 20 years of experience with the United Nations system. In the UN he led teams developing new approaches to sustainability, innovation, and future-focused strategy for the SDGs, climate action, urbanization, and inclusive growth. Since leaving the UN JD has headed the world’s leading sustainability system for tropical vegetable oils. He also sits on the boards of sustainability and climate action organizations in the UK and Malaysia. Born in Malaysia, JD was educated in Malaysia, Australia, and the UK, and holds degrees in politics, economics, and international development.

  • Jake Dunagan

    Dr. Jake Dunagan is an award-winning experiential futurist, political system designer, and teacher. As the founder and Director of the Governance Futures Lab at the Institute for the Future, Jake’s work is centred in the theory and practical application of anticipatory social invention. He is dedicated to helping people understand alternative possibilities so they can create better futures. He also teaches design futures and foresight in the MA in Design focused on health program at UT-Austin, and is an international mentor for the Diseño de Mañana program at CENTRO, Mexico City.

  • Ariella Helfgott

    Professor Ariella Helfgott is Director of the SA Futures Agency, Program Director for Foresight & Decision-Making at the One Basin CRC, Director of Foresight & Strategic Learning at the World Energy Council, and Professor of Foresight at the University of Adelaide. For over 20 years she has worked across government, industry, and academia worldwide, bringing people together to imagine possibilities, navigate uncertainty, and build resilience. She is committed to creating inclusive, nature-positive futures and nurturing the capabilities, communities, and cultures that help societies thrive.

  • Shaun Koh

    Shaun is Chief Strategist at Zeroth Labs, leading institutional, corporate, and higher education engagements. He led development of UNDP Asia Pacific’s urban innovation framework, rolled out in 14 country offices. Shaun has trained senior civil servants for Singapore’s Civil Service College, emerging political leaders at Apolitical Academy Caucasus in strategic foresight, and facilitated on post-pandemic nuclear futures for Nagasaki University. His academic experience includes teaching public service innovation at SMU’s Master’s in Tri-Sector Collaboration, sustainability at NUS College, and systems thinking at NUS Medicine. Shaun combines his computer engineering background with systems methods to support future-ready partners.

  • Aarathi Krishnan

    Aarathi is the founder of RAKSHA Intelligence Futures, a geopolitical intelligence firm specializing in pre-crisis risk analysis, and an affiliate with Cambridge University's Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER). She has worked with the UN, World Bank, IFRC, and leading foundations, combining political economy expertise with AI-enabled analysis and structural power mapping. Her research has been published in leading journals including lections on decolonising foresight methodologies. She speaks internationally on multipolar governance, transactional diplomacy, and risk intelligence, focusing on identifying emerging geopolitical threats before they escalate.

  • Ariel Muller

    Ariel is a Project Lead for the 10F Consortium. Through Middlegame, her independent practice, she works with philanthropic collaboratives to design strategies for deploying capital toward systems in transition—currently focused on coral reef ecosystems approaching critical tipping points in Southeast Asia. Prior to Middlegame, she spent 12 years at Forum for the Future, based in Singapore, most recently as Global Director of Futures and Strategic Initiatives.

  • Igor Schwarzmann

    As an independent strategist, Igor develops AI systems for European city governments while conducting deep cultural research for global brands. He founded Third Wave, a Strategic Design & Foresight consultancy, then led innovation teams across three continents at Edenspiekermann. Now he translates cultural shifts into strategic advantage across automotive, healthcare, media, and consumer sectors. His Third Culture perspective—shaped by living between worlds—helps organizations decode patterns others miss.

  • Katindi Sivi

    Dr. Katindi Sivi has been a foresight curator and systems thinker, catalyzing future smart decision-making processes through foresight research, policy analysis, and trainings. She is ranked among Africa’s top seven female futurists, for her contribution in Kenya’s and Africa’s policy space. Dr. Sivi founded LongView Consult to deepen foresight among African governments, organizations, professionals and young people. She is also working as a foresight specialist with various UN agencies; and as an adjunct faculty member at Strathmore University Business School. She is a member of the Global Foresight Network of the World Economic Forum; She holds a PhD in Strategic Foresight and leadership from Regent University, Virginia Beach and has foresight training from Oxford University (Said Business School). 

  • Scott Smith

    Scott is a Project Lead for the 10F Consortium. As co-founder and managing partner of Changeist, he brings over 25 years of experience in applied foresight and strategy. He designs strategic simulations for leaders navigating complex risk and systemic disruption. He is author of "How to Future (2020) and co-author of "Future Cultures (2023). His advisory work has included UNDP, the Dubai Futures Foundation, UNICEF, and the UK Government Office for Science. He has developed foresight education programs in the US, Europe and Middle East. He was also a Visiting Research Fellow at University of South Australia in 2023. He has written for Quartz, The Atlantic, and WIRED UK. His work centers on helping organizations build better systems of anticipation when facing frontier risks.

  • Lina Srivastava

    Lina is founder and director of Center for Transformational Change, which cultivates community power through narrative, technology, and cultural engagement to build just futures. Lina has collaborated with organizations such as ICRC, UNESCO, World Bank, and The New Humanitarian, has led campaigns for award-winning media projects, and moderates the podcast "Power Shift." Lina has served as a Fulbright Specialist, with the US State Department’s American Film Showcase, as faculty with SVA Masters of Design for Social Innovation, and as a Fellow at Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center, Rockwood Institute/Ford Foundation, Royal Society of Arts, and University of South Australia.

  • Vaughn Tan

    Dr. Vaughn Tan is a consultant whose first book, The Uncertainty Mindset (2020) is a guide to organising for uncertainty—its principles are used by clients including the UN, Carlyle Group, KPMG, Wellcome, and various governments. Vaughn’s PhD in Organisational Behaviour is from Harvard, and he is an honorary associate professor at UCL's School of Management. Vaughn is a board-member of Rethink Food, a fellow at the Singapore Government's Centre for Strategic Futures, and a research fellow at the Ethereum Foundation, the Future of Life Foundation's programme on AI for human reasoning, and the University of South Australia.
